In 2021-2022 I was given the opportunity to document and participate in a hazel dormouse reintroduction into the South Lakes. One of the rarest mammals in the UK hazel dormice numbers were estimated to have dropped over 50% between 2009-2018. Helping bring these beautiful mices back to the north of england was something I am incredible proud of being involved in.
